Teachers are more successful when they work in a school that is a good fit for them.
You will be responsible for leading your own job search so that both you and your principal feel good about the match. While our staff will offer resources and guidance, all hiring decisions are ultimately made by principals or other school-based administrators.
While this may seem challenging, program staff will help you navigate the hiring process, showing you how to find vacancies and occasionally coordinating interviews with principals. You can also expect to participate in some of the following activities:
- Tailor your resume,
- Have an initial one-on-one call with the program staff,
- Participate in mock interviews to prepare for the hiring season,
- Receive feedback on your cover letter and resume before applying to partner schools, and
- Attend various hiring events coordinated by the program.
